Ricardo is one of the Caribbean’s most experienced and respected Public Relations practitioners.
The Founder in 1974, of JER Associates, a firm of PR and Integrated Marketing Communications Consultants, he has led the JER client service team at home and abroad for several years in meeting the PR needs of clients such as British Airways, Conoco (now Conoco/Phillips), Hewlett Packard (HP), First Caribbean International Bank (now CIBC First Caribbean), Sagicor (formerly the Barbados Mutual), the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC), the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries (BCSI), the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP), the Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI), the Fair Trading Commission, Caribbean Export Development Agency, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Royal Westmoreland Resort, and, more recently, the Pan-American International Insurance Corporation and Fortinet Inc.
Ricardo has designed and implemented successful Public Relations campaigns for public and private sector entities across the Caribbean and has served as Public Relations Consultant and Communications Adviser to a former Caribbean Prime Minister and his government. A team player with a passion for excellence, his areas of specialization include Media Relations (monitoring, analysis, planning and relationship-building), Information Management (timing, message design and positioning, choice of medium and formatting), Strategic Communications (design, implementation and evaluation of targeted communications strategies) and Social Media PR Management.
